GROUND RULES

THESE ARE THE RULES FOR 2023

CAN NOT BE CHANGED EXCEPT BY BOARD.

THERE ARE NO UNWRITTEN RULES.


1. There are no children allowed in Kitchen area unless accompanied by their parent.

2. Please use common sense while upon the grounds of the Fairfield Fish and Game.

3. No hunting or trapping upon the grounds unless authorized by the Board of Directors.

4. Dogs are permitted upon the grounds with certain restrictions. Dogs are permitted to be unleashed, and within the Owner’s control outside of the Campgrounds. All dogs within the Campgrounds must be leashed. Hunting dogs when actively engaged in supervised training are permitted to be unleashed, on back side of lake or in the pines. Dogs are not under any circumstances permitted on the beach or in buildings, unless they are a service dog. The following dogs will not be permitted on the grounds Chow, Pit bulls, Doberman, Rottweiler and German shepherd, or any mix of these breeds. Any dog owner will be held responsible for the dog’s actions and waive liability of the club. Dog owners must register pet with description and rabies shot records.

5. Speed limit for all vehicles, bicycles and scooters will be as follows; 10 MPH from gate to white building unless there is an event, in which a 5 MPH speed limit on the rest of the grounds in enforced. Speed limit within the Campground, and Playground will at all times be 5 MPH. All speed limits are STRICTLY ENFORCED! Members who receive a 2nd violation of speed limit(s) will be brought before the Board.

  1. Alcoholic beverages are permitted on the beach area. No glass containers of any kind are permitted on the beach or in the swimming area.





7. All refuse and trash shall be placed in the containers provided. Do not leave trash at your camping area it will attract wild animals. All containers must have lids and be closed at all times. Do not put anything at dumpsters that you know they will not take.

8. Loud, boisterous, or profane language is prohibited upon the grounds of the Fairfield Fish and Game this includes the Club House.

9. Picnic tables may not be held or reserved except while meal is actually in progress and should be immediately released when meal is over. NO EXCEPTIONS

10. Picnic tables may not be removed from the shelter house or campgrounds. Shelter house picnic tables are not to be taken into the camping area except for those designated for use in that area. The board can move tables for events.

11. No fishing from the footbridge or from the complete beach area.

12. All children 16 and 17 may swim and not be supervised but may not supervise others. No swimming is permitted outside of the roped off area. No swimming if buoys are not present. THE CLUB PROVIDES NO LIFEGUARD, AND CLUB IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY ACCIDENTS!!!

13. Shooting with a gun (including BB gun) or with a bow and arrow is prohibited except at the gun ranges, trap shooting area or bow range (no guns at bow range), unless approved by the Board of Directors. During turkey shoots and special events the gun ranges, trap shooting area and bow range will be closed unless participating in the event.

14. All children under 12 MUST be supervised by an ADULT while fishing.

15. Children under 18 years old must have a legally responsible adult on the grounds, unless you are a member.

16. Children under the age of 18 may not posses or use a gun or any other weapon without the direct supervision of an adult. This includes bb gun or bow and arrows.

17. Any person molesting or annoying any member or guest upon the Fairfield Fish and Game property shall immediately cease and leave the premises if requested to do so by the caretaker, member of the board or member in good standing and will be directed to attend a board meeting.

18. Boats may not be left beached and unattended for an extended period of time (i.e. 20 minutes) within 20 feet of the edge of the water. When on the water boats must be equipped with life preservers for all occupants of the boat. Persons under 18 must wear life preserver at all times while watercraft is in the water.

19. Electric motors will be permitted on the lake. When returning a boat to boat storage area, all batteries must be removed from the boat.

20. Scouts and similar groups will be permitted to use the grounds only by prior approval of the Board, and only for purposes as are specified by the Board.

21. Trees and shrubs may be cut or removed only under the supervision of the Caretaker or a member of the board.

22. Motor vehicles including motorbikes, motorcycles, minibikes, and go carts are permitted upon the grounds only upon the roadways and then only if they are duly licensed for operation upon the Ohio highways by a person who is duly authorized by the state of Ohio to operate a motor vehicle.

23. No person shall maliciously or carelessly injure any person or property that is legally on the grounds, or similarly damage any property of Fairfield Fish and Game.

24. Member/spouse and card holding members of the immediate household shall be entitled to bring upon the grounds the following guest: members of their immediate family who are in the active duty in the U.S. armed forces; member’s or spouse’s immediate family who are not residents of the State of Ohio.

25. Guests (up to 2 times) will be charged a $10 fee per guest for fishing, using gun ranges, skeet shoot or bow range. After the 2 time limit guest must become members or will be ask to leave. This is 2 times period NOT 2 times per year. Exceptions are Memorial Day Weekend, Labor day and July 4th celebration these are to be counted as free days. On public event days your guest(s) may stay for 1 hour after public event is over. You are responsible for your guests and will be held responsible for their actions.

26. Any golf cart driven from dusk until dawn must have working white light on front of cart and working red light on back of cart, this does not include flashlights

27. Operation (driving) of golf carts are allowed under the following conditions; Operator must be 15 years of age or older. Children ages 10 to 11 are allowed to drive with an adult, during daylight, outside of the Campground area. Children ages 12-14 are allowed to drive anytime with an adult. No kids under the age of 15 are allowed to operate a golf cart during an event. STRICKLY ENFORCED

28. Fairfield Fish and Game will take no responsibilities for personal injury or any loss (by fire, natural disaster, etc..) done to any camper, vehicle, or personal property that is done on Fairfield Fish and Game property.

29. There will be a $5.00 charge for a reissue of a membership card. Gate cards will be replaced if broken (broken card must be returned). Gate cards are given as follows one with membership additional one for $1.00 for spouse. There will be a $50 charge to replace lost cards.

30. Issues, complaints, problems etc.. If not taken care of within 30 days will not be taken into consideration. Take care of the problem(s) when they occur. Complaints must be in writing and addressed to the board.

31. The bottom of the targets at the pistol range must be 2 foot off the ground, and not exceed 4 foot high. Rules to each range will be posted at that range.

32. There will be no alcohol consumption at general meetings, ½ hour before and ½ hour after.

33. 5 hours of service per year is as follows: If you work your 5 hours no money is owed to the Fairfield Fish and Game If you do not work your 5 hours the time will be prorated, Example: if you work 3 hours you will owe Fairfield Fish and Game $30 this equals out to $15 per hour If your spouse/significant other works 5 hours for you their 5 hours will go toward spouse/significant card caring members hours. Exempt from 5 hours of work are seniors, out of state residents and handicapped with capabilities. When attending 5 general meetings your 5 hours of service will be waived.

34. Any checks written with insufficient funds there will be a $50 service charge. Checks with insufficient funds to pay dues passed the February 28th deadline will be a $50 service charge.

35. No bicycles will be ridden from dusk until dawn on Fairfield Fish and Game property. STRICKLEY ENFORCED

36. Members are fully responsible for for use of the club’s log splitter, power washer, and weed eater. Members will sign out desired equipment, and return it no later than the end of that day. No equipment will be kept overnight. See Caretaker of Board Member to sign out equipment.

37. Boat must be numbered, you have 30 days after joining to have this completed. Annual inspections will take place. Any boats found not numbered, could be auctioned.

38. ANY PERSON OBSERVING RULE VIOLATIONS SHALL REPORT THE VIOLATION OF THESE RULES TO THE BOARD AFTER ASSURING THE ACCUSED AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE HEARD, THE BOARD CAN TAKE SUCH DISCIPLINARY ACTION, AS IT DEEMS APPROPRIATE AGAINST ANYONE FOUND IN VIOLATION. THIS MAY INCLUDED SUSPENSION OR REVOCATION OF THE MEMBERSHIP, IF SAID PERSON IS A MEMBER; OR THE MEMBERSHIP UNDER WHICH SAID GUEST IS UPON THE GROUNDS (IF SAID VIOLATION IS PERFORMED BY A GUEST).
